Confirmation

Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation

The Sacrament of Confirmation is a two-year commitment that includes intentional formation, prayer, and personal discernment. During this process, our youth are mentored and accompanied as they explore what it means, for them as an individual, to be called to live more deeply as a Christian missionary disciple, equipping them to live out their faith as lifelong Catholics.  The Sacrament of Confirmation is received in the winter/spring of the second year as the young person affirms that, with the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit, they want to live a Christian life as a Catholic, bearing witness to Christ in the world.  At St. Raymond parish, this process typically begins in the fall of 7th grade and continues through 8th grade.

There are specific areas of focus for both sacramental preparation years. We invite any persons between grades 7-12, who are interested in drawing deeper to Christ and our rich Catholic faith, to reach out for further formation opportunities.
