A native of the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Brian Fife first caught the liturgical music bug while attending St Viator High School and has been ministering in music for various parishes in the area for nearly 20 years as a pianist, choir director, instrumental director, and arranger. Most recently, he has been instrumental director for the Sunday night teen-young adult choir and accompanist for morning liturgies at St Edna in Arlington Heights, accompanist for children’s choirs at St Edna as well as St James in Arlington Heights and St Thomas of Villanova in Palatine, and director of teen choirs at St Thomas and St Theresa in Palatine. I has also cantored and accompanied liturgies for St Theresa School, and directing a 35 member 8th grade liturgical choir and ensemble. He and his wife Violet have a daughter, Amelia, who will turn 3 in August of 2012, and is already showing a love of music and dance, which means she will likely fit in very well at St Raymond!. Brian graduated from Northern Illinois University with a bachelor of music degree. He has recorded CDs of original songs, as well as jazzy arrangements of church hymns and songs. He is very happy to be a part of the St Raymond staff as of March, 2012, and feels very welcomed and at home.
