Vatican II is the most recent council of the universal Catholic Church. It took place from 1962-65 at the time of the rise of rock music and the sexual revolution. For the first time in four centuries, the Catholic bishops came together to ask how the Church could respond to the radical changes taking place in societies and cultures across the world.

Thur, Mar 26 – Vatican II, Mission of the Church
We will examine the reflections of the council on the relationship of the church to the wider world. The church was challenged to move beyond defending itself against the world and to reclaim our mission to be light in the midst of the world.
