Annual Young Women’s Math Olympics at Resurection College Prep

Event Details

On Friday, February 16, 2018, Resurrection College Prep High School’s Mathematics Department, together with the Resurrection Math Club, will sponsor the Young Women’s Math Olympics. This academic competition is open to all 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls. Admission is free of charge and participants will receive refreshments and prizes, play games, and use their math skills in a fun and friendly competition. Check-in begins at 3:30 pm and the contest and awards will conclude at approximately 5:30 pm. Participants should bring a calculator and #2 pencils. Students will compete individually and top scorers will receive Gold, Silver or Bronze medals in Algebra and Geometry. Fourth and Fifth place participants will receive certificates. Parents, teacher and school administrators from participating schools are welcome to attend. Resurrection students will be available to provide tours to visitors during the time when participants are competing. Registration for the Young Women’s Math Olympics, as well as additional information about events and programs that nurture the full potential of young women, can be found online on www.reshs.org.
