Dee Peppard, BVM. (Pastoral Associate and Adult Formation Director) is a member of the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Dee has ministered full-time in the Church for all of her adult life. She works with many of the Adult Formation ministries in the parish including: Christ Renews His Parish, Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, Moms Plus, Gathering of Women, Women's Spirituality Circles, Scripture Studies, Spiritual Companion Retreat, Faith and Learning groups, etc.. Dee enjoys working with people on a faith level - and has learned much from those with whom she ministers. She is always inspired by the generosity of people, by their hunger for a deeper spirituality, and by the strength and depth of people's faith - especially during times of struggle. Dee has also served as a "Field Advocate" for the Archdiocesan Marriage Tribunal, and companions people as they go through the annulment process. She has been involved in the interfaith dialogue - with Jews, Muslims and Catholics - and has discovered the presence of God in ever new and rich ways.
Dee loves Scripture and has studied it (formally and informally) most of her adult life. As a student at Catholic Theological Union, she had the opportunity to live and study in Israel for three months. She says that this was an experience that stretched her mind, her heart and her vision in many ways. Dee holds a Certificate in Scripture and Biblical Spirituality from Catholic Theological Union at Chicago and a Masters Degree in Religious Studies from Webster University in St. Louis. She has given presentations on a variety of topics at many parish and cluster gatherings in the Archdiocese of Chicago and other dioceses.
