Hello everyone!  My name is Brian Fife, and I am the Director of Music at St Raymond de Penafort.  I am grateful to help facilitate and provide music for our liturgies here and to work with many wonderful and talented music ministers of all ages.  I have had a love of music for as long as I can remember, and first began playing regularly in church when I was a student at St Viator High School in Arlington Heights.  I earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Northern Illinois University and for nearly 20 years, I worked for various parishes in the northwest suburbs of Chicago as a pianist, choir director and instrumental director. I also recorded CDs of original songs, as well as jazzy arrangements of church hymns and songs and was contracted as an arranger for World Library Publications.  I came aboard at St Raymond in March of 2012, and my experience at this parish has been nothing short of transformative. I am continually inspired and encouraged by the deep faith and welcoming love of the people here, and my own faith has been greatly renewed and revived by being a part of this wonderful community.  I feel truly blessed that my wife Violet, my daughter Amelia and I can call this place our spiritual home.
