St. Raymond Women's Club

The Women's Club is an organization of women who gather monthly for spiritual and educational evenings of sharing. The meetings consist of prayer, fellowship and entertainment along with sponsoring a charity each month.

The St. Raymond Women's Club was organized in 1982. The primary purpose is for the social welfare and the spiritual interests of its members, and to further the service interests of the Parish – such as the Parish picnic booth & hospitality at the Christmas Boutique.

Many of the women are involved in many projects - including making beautiful afghans, scarves, hats for the needy and little afghans, sweaters, etc. for babies, sewing baptismal bibs, carriers for walkers, and the altar linen care. This past year a few of the women made about 200 dresses for African orphans of Aids victims.

We meet the first Wednesday of the month starting in September with a pot luck supper & ending with the crowning of the Blessed Mother at our May meeting. For entertainment, we have a planned program each month, followed by a social time with refreshments – and monthly charities such as food pantry, Hines Hospital, Catholic Charities (toys) and prison ministry.

We take one or two group trips a year which are open to all Parish members. We also sponsor a card party in April.

Our annual fees are still $10.00 and all women of the parish are welcome. It is a good way to make friends and keep in touch with old ones.
