ECO was formed to promote the care and stewardship of God's creation at St. Raymond. As the body of Christ in the world today, we are called to care for and protect the earth. Our goal is to promote the reverent and conservative use of environmental resources at home, at St. Raymond and in the larger community. We will seek to provide educational opportunities and promote recycling, energy efficiency and nature friendly chemistry.

Green Tips


For the Home

• Line dry your laundry in warmer months


• Turn the tap off while you brush your teeth to save gallons of water


• Ride your bike or walk on shorter trips


• Buy local and/or organically grown food


• Collect water in a rain barrel to use in your garden


• Compost your kitchen scraps


• Unplug small appliances when not in use


• BYOB - Bring your own bag to the store

• Enable all power saving options on your computer. Screen savers do not save energy!


• Print double-sided and buy recycled paper


• Recycle electronics, batteries, and ink cartridges


• Connect all electronics to a power strip so all power is cut while these items are not in use
